Born from the warm glow of Colombia's Día de las Velitas, our hand-poured candles are made for every wish you've ever whispered — on a birthday, a holiday, or a quiet Tuesday night.

Close your eyes. Make a wish. Blow out the candle. It's one of the first rituals we ever learn — and one of the few that people share all around the world. Whether it's a birthday cake, a prayer candle, or a sidewalk lined with tiny flames, lighting a candle is how we say “I hope.”
The wish you never say out loud.
Light shared with family and neighbors.
Love, health, new beginnings.
December 7 · Colombia
Every year on the night of December 7th, Colombia glows. Families gather on sidewalks, balconies, and windowsills to light hundreds of little candles and paper lanterns called faroles — the beginning of the Christmas season.
The tradition dates back to 1854, when Pope Pius IX proclaimed the Immaculate Conception. On the eve of the December 8th feast, people across the country lit candles to honor the Virgin Mary, and the custom has been passed down from grandparents to grandchildren ever since.
Each candle carries a wish — for family, for health, for the year ahead. That's where Wish Upon a Candle began, and it's a feeling we want to share with everyone.
